On Tuesday of last week, my mom and I went to Little K's class to help the calss make gingerbread houses. It was so much fun, and I was surprised how many parents were able to be there. Almost every child had someone to work with him or her personally. I thought Little K did a wonderful job, but what surprised me was how much his looked like his friend's. M is the tallest kid in class and Little K is one of the shortest, but they are good friends. They sat on opposite sides of the room from each other, but their gingerbread houses looked amazingly similar. For example they both put on the pretzel fence the same way. Anyway it was great fun, and we now have a wonderful Christmas decoration!

Catching up.....
Well it sure has been a busy week, but I am officially done for the semester. Little K will still go to school two days next week and then he will start his vacation. My mom arrived on Saturday the 13th and that night we had a blizzard. I heard on the news that 10.1 inches fell here, but we had some really large drifts due to the 30-40 mile an hour winds that accompanied the snow. That is what the pictures are of. We stayed in on Sunday, but by midmorning Monday, it was back to life as normal around here. It has snowed more since, but it doesn't appear to slow things down much. There is still traffic, especially around the mall and other stores. It has been really cold, DH actually had to work one night/day without a heater in his truck and everything inside;water, Diet Coke, sandwich, etc.; was frozen. I truly hope he never has to repeat that again. On Friday I took my last two finals, so we went out to celebrate. We went to the mall where Little K and DH sat by the fireplace to enjoy their meal. I wish I had my camera, it was such a father son moment. Then I made my mom and DH get a massage in the aquamassager, while Little K and I went to Dinoland to play. DH said it felt really good and that it reminded him of what it might feel like to go through a carwash! If I didn't think it would hurt so bad, I might try it, but I have never really liked getting a massage. It usually hurts more than it relaxes me. But a good time was had by all, plus DH and I got to walk through the mall for a little bit just by ourselves which was a rare treat.

Final Countdown....
I have actually taken some final, but officially they start on Monday. I have a final on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. I was supposed to have two finals on Friday, but I received some great news last Friday. In my immunology class last Friday my professor announced that since she was not adding anything new since our last test, she would apply the percentage that we got on our last test as our percent on our final. the really cool news is that I got a perfect score on the second test, I know I really don't believe it - they should recheck it, it means I get a perfect score on my final, and I don't have to take it. For those who were not happy with their second test, they can take the final and if they do better the final score will be applied to their second test grade, win-win for everyone. So that leaves just four tests for next week. As it sits right now I have 3 A's and 3 B's, 5 of these are borderline and could go either way depending on how I do on my finals. No pressure, or anything, but it could mean a better chance for scholarships. So mom will be here tomorrow and be staying for the next two weeks to help me with finals and spend Christmas with us. So here goes.... finals, then Christmas, and before you know it , the next semester will be here.
