New Grandson!
This adorable little guy was born today. (This post is being typed much later, so more facts are included) This is the first and only grandchild so far to be named after DH, such an honor. He had a very rough beginning, but he is a fighter. He is doing well now and is so adorable! Congratulations to DH's youngest daughter, you are a terrific mom and we are so proud of you!

The Newest Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!
K was baptized today! Yes, it was even on his birthday! (Had to be, no choice about it!) What and exciting nervous day. K and I planned everything, he chose who would be involved and mom got it all together. I was so proud of K, he decided who he wanted to participate and made all of the calls himself! I was nervous that I would not get everything together, to the church and on time. DH was nervous about performing the ordinances. When we started there were just a few people there, but we decided to start anyway. When we turned to go out to the baptismal font, we were surprised at how many friends had shown up to support K. All in all it went well, there were a few glitches and mishaps, but that is just us. We are not perfect, but somehow we it all works out in the end! Here is a video that I made to cover the necessary time that K and DH needed to change clothes after the baptism.

Lots of Planning...
So this year is a big year in our family K is turning 8! Which means he can choose to be baptized and become a member of our church. He gets to join cub scouts, and he will be in 3rd grade! (There is one more surprise, but you'll have to wait for that post!) I can't believe how fast time has gone, I still remember the day of his birth and all the emotions that went with it. Anyway, about a month before K's birthday, we attended the baptism of one of his friends. I tell you that Partay girl of a mom really set the bar high for me. K wanted everything his friend J had. (K was so excited when J got baptized, he let out a loud hooray!) So now that school is out the planning is on. This is the picture that we used on his invitations.
