Well as many of you know we are in a time of transition in our life right now. I have been accepted to the pharmacy program at a school that is seven hours away. This means we need to move; the question is when, how, to where, what about a job for husband, what about the job he has now but is not currently working at due to a work injury, how and when to sell current house, how much work do we put into current house to make enough profit to have somewhat of a down payment on new house, etc, etc, etc. These things have been floating around somewhat like a person juggling balls, for a little while now. As I was working today, I thought somewhat about all of this and I began to think that if I spent as much time being appreciative of my many blessings as I do worrying about life's problems, how much happier would I be. Then with this attitude I began to see that many of the problems we prayed about when we moved last year are being answered, as well as some from recently. When we purchased current house, our biggest concern was that we wanted to be able to resell while the economy was still strong in the boom-bust economy of the oil town we live in. Problem solved, oil is still strong and we need to sell so we can move to a town that is a large metro area with 4 universities. When dear hubby, DH, was injured we worried if he would be able to go back to the fairly physical job he had and if he did what would be the repercussions he would face. (His company has consistently denied the injury occured at work.) That may not be a problem any more if we find a good job where we are moving before he is released back to work, or if he does go back to his old job it will be for a short time. We are better able to endure, when we know there is an end in sight. Anyway, just my thoughts on the day. We are truly blessed, even if we don't see it right away.
Just another thought that I found today that I really liked, I don't know who wrote it, but I wanted to share it. "The problem with a living sacrifice is that it can crawl off the altar, so you may have to resurrender your life fifty times a day. You must make it a daily habit. Jesus said 'And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.' Luke 9:23"
