Productive Day and ..... Santa!

The day started around 9, yes I know I really slept in, but in my defense I was just making up for the sleep I lost so I could go to yesterday's sales. I made pancakes and eggs for the family, cleaned up the dishes, did three loads of laundry, and then cleaned the whole house (all three floors!) by 2:00pm. I realize that our house is really not that big, but it is very rare for me to have the time to clean all three floors on the same day. Next week is the week before the no test week that comes before finals, so I have three tests and two quizes next week and I wanted to have the house cleaned before the week starts. Then we went to Santa Village to see Santa!! I was impressed with what we found when we got there. We started by going to see Santa, then Little K decorated a cookie with Mrs. Claus. From there we went on a horse-drawn wagon ride, saw a really neat miniature train set, and saw three of Santa's reindeer! Then we came home to have hot chocolate to warm up! It was a GREAT day!

My winter Salvation

There is a play area in our local mall called Dino playland. It is free and Little K enjoys it so much. The great thing is that it provides a place for him to get some exercise when it is way too cold to be outside. An added bonus is that while he plays I can read, granted I don't get a lot read, but every little bit helps. It is just really nice to be able to get some active play for him. The first time we went we had to go through the mall and find new sock that had stickies on the bottom so he could climb. But we are now prepared and he has fun and always works up a little sweat, so it is a quick snack and home to bathe. It is truly a nice place that has been provided for the kids in the area though and it is usually quite busy.

Just a few pictures

Little K did choose to where his other costume for Halloween. He and I went out for about an hour and stopped at about ten houses. Little K decided he was done after a few house and we could go home, but he wanted to go to his teachers house. So we kept walking until we got there and then came home. We had to walk a little ways to get into the subdivision, but it was good exercise for me. DH stayed at home to hand out candy, but we only had two people come by. Next year at least I will know not to buy candy to hand out, I can't say I blame anyone, Little K and I did not go into any apartment/townhome complexes either. The other picture is Little K's school picture that we got back on Thursday.
