Well it has really been a long week. I got sick Friday night and most of Saturday, fever and aches and pains. Then on Sunday, Little K woke up from an late afternoon nap with a sore throat and red spots on his soft palate. We spent five hours at a local clinic, where we met a really nice doctor. The quick strep test was negative, but I decided to keep Little K out of school Tuesday as well, I was pretty sure we would get a call from the clinic. We did, the culture was positive. We got his prescription and he missed school Wednesday as well, have to be on the antibiotic 24 hours before returning to school. He was back in school Thursday, but there was no school today because of parent-teacher conferences. I feel like I have missed a lot of school, but really it was only my three classes on Monday and two of my classes on Wednesday. (My neighbor watched Little K for an hour so I could take a quiz) Other than that it has just been really cold and snowy, actually had to put our trailblazer in 4-low to get through a drift and into the garage as well as when I got stuck at a stop sign on campus. Since I was posting picture on facebook, I thought I should update the grandkids photo on the sidebar. They are getting bigger fast, but they are all so cute!

And the winner is.....
Today was the day, I got the email, but can I get the answer? NO! Well I was supposed to find out today where I will be spending two weeks this summer interning. I even got the email telling me that the information was there. But when I log on to the school website, it says "I am FORBIDDEN"! What! How can I be forbidden to go to a website of the school I attend? Don't they know how important this little bit of news is for us, or me? I mean did I get a local spot, do I have to drive, do I have to find a good daycare for a couple hours or 8 hours or ten or more? Ugh, how completely frustrating! So at this point I will have to let you know, in the mean time I think I will try every 30 seconds for about a million times to get on the website, I mean that should work, right?
... and the rotation site is VC, ND; which means just over an hour drive each way, and the time is split with Little K in school for half and not for the other half. So I might just try to make some changes, but will probably just have to go with the flow and figure something out.

Monstor Truck Jam
The monster truck jam came to the Fargodome this weekend, so we made a family outing. I can't say that I was to enthusiastic about going, but Little K thought it was "sooo EXCITING!" when we got the tickets. We all went and it was enjoyable, though you were kind of left with the feeling that you wanted a little more. There seemed to be a lot of downtime between events and when trucks flipped over. But I was amazed that there wasn't a lot of body damage when they did flip over. Guess that is how they are designed though.
