Right after we got back from our trip school started. I started right away, we returned on Saturday, I started Monday. K didn't start until Wednesday. Wow, scheduling alone before classes started was difficult. I am currently using three different day care options, just so I can attend class! As if that wasn't enough, I had about four assignments that were due before classes even started. This year is crazy, that is why my posts are so late. On Mondays I drop K off at school at 8 then I try to head to school to study.(or try to very quickly get caught up on things undone at home) Classes start at 1:30 and go until 6:30, my classes on this day are Cardiovascular/Pulmionary, Neoplastic Disease, and Contemporary Pharmacy. I pick K up by about 7 from his after school daycare, a friend's of K's mom watches him for me (which is really nice because all daycares that can pick up from school close at 6). Then we get me something to eat, he gets fed at his friend's house, and head home. We then work on his homework, then mine, and I try to prepare for the next morning. On Tuesdays, I have my Pharm Care Lab at 8, I drop K off at the at school early morning daycare by 7:15. I am done with lab at 10 and work in the library on homework until 2. I have Infectious Disease and then Rheumatology/Endocrinology. I pick K up at the daycare by 6, head home to feed us both, work on K's ey therapy for an hour to hour and a half, do his homework, then mine. On Wednesday, I only have Pharmacy Law from 8-9, but now also have group meetings to work on all the group projects we have this semester (at least I have an awesome partner for most of these!) So K is either dropped at the early morning daycare at school or he rides the bus. The bus is a whole ordeal in itself and I am not sure we are going to keep up that option. Anyway, homework, therapy, everything else after classes. Then on Thursdays, I drop K off at school at 8, usually head to school myself to study, classes start at 2. I have Infectious Disease and Cardiovascular/Pulmonary. Thursday afternoons are the same as Tuesdays, pick K up by 6, etc. Then on Fridays I drop K off at the early morning daycare at the school by 7:15, my classes start at 8. I have Pharmacy Law, Neoplastic Disease, and Pharm Care IV. Whew, just typing about it makes me tired!
Now for K's school. He is in second grade this year and seems to like his teachers. The second week of school he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. A fellow classmate grabbed him by the throat and tried to put his head in the toilet! We freaked out, but K handled it all in stride. That evening he said, "Well at least I am a nerd, I have my own bully!" We were told that this was not an attack on K per say, but it was still frightening as parents. K now uses a private bathroom, but still has this child in his class and some small groups. It was K's decision as to whether this child got to stay in one of the small groups. He said yes, as soon as this child sits down, K gets up and moves to the furthest seat away from him. But all in all, I think K handled it very well and we are very proud of him. We worry alot as parents, he is not of ND breed and is one of the shortest in his class. To top this off, he is behind in school academically. So we worry at him being the target of bullying. K is now in vision therapy as well, he attends a session with the eye doctor weekly and we try to work on it at least 5 days a week at home as well. We are hoping that by the end of therapy his eyes will work together as a pair and he will make better progress at school.

Sheesh! I'm glad that your schedule is only this crazy for a year- then it's smooth sailing... you're doing great, just keep breathing! Tell that punk kid to keep his hands off our little buddy!
