So I have a 5 week rotation in my hometown in southeast Kansas and this is the beginning of our journey. Which actually kind of started a few days earlier with the purchase of a new car! Yes I said new, brand new, not a year old! Our Trailblazer had a CV joint going bad, a faulty secondary air injection something or other, and few minor things that I really would like to have fixed. All in all even if I did all the labor by myself we were looking at a lot of money, did I mention the warranty ended a few months ago, before the CV joint started going bad. Anyway with the drop in interests rates we decided to look into getting a new car. We were able to purchase a new car which we love and as a bonus, we actually pay less per month than we did on our old one. K is still sad when he thinks about giving up the old one, but we like the new one. I would definitely buy a trailblazer again, but alas we got a better deal on a Toyota. Anyway so back to the details of the trip. Due to a country music fest somewhere in Kansas, I could not find an affordable hotel any closer than Minneapolis, so that is where we stayed the first night. Our first stop as you can see was the Mall of America! They had changed the Legoland statues since the last time we were there, so we had to take pictures on our way up to the food court to grab some dinner! And as they say on TV... to be continued with the rest of the story~
